A Word from Mo Maali:
When people ask about what drove me to start Patina, it was a combination of multiple factors. I never viewed cigars as just wrapper, binder and filler. A cigar is a two-hour vacation, a cost-effective psychiatrist session, and a barrier-breaker. There are very few things in the world, if any at all, that bring people together like cigars. I want people to feel excited whenever they light a Patina. I want Patina to be the cigar of choice when someone wants to celebrate a personal achievement or milestone. And most of all, I want people to know that my heart and soul is in these cigars.
What does Patina mean?
Patina is an oxidation process that, over time, produces a green film over bronze or copper (i.e. a statue or building). In the same spirit, our experiences in life shape our opinions, attitudes and beliefs. Just as those buildings underneath the Patina retain their original character, we too as human beings will always be ourselves at our core. No matter what happens in life, always be true to yourself.
